Who We Are

Gigi Graepp

Ms. Gigi is a former ballet dancer. After ten years of dancing the classical repertoire in different ballet companies –including the world-famous Ballet Nacional de Cuba – she discovered her passion for teaching over 15 years ago.

Since then, she has been committed to support and encourage her students, and to help them achieve the maximum of their potential.

After five years of vocational teaching in Santiago’s most prestigious school, she moved to London to upgrade her career and to enhance her ballet education. There she was granted a Professional Dancers Teaching Diploma by the Royal Academy of Dance, and has focused in training students to graded and vocational exams as well as teaching free work.

In 2015 Ms. Gigi graduated from The Royal Ballet School, and was certified as a high-end teacher with a Diploma in Dance Teaching -one of the world’s most respected ballet qualifications.

Throughout her London residence, she constantly kept perfecting her professional development, taking diverse teacher training courses delivered by ballet schools as respected as the Paris Opera, the Royal Opera House, and the Royal Academy of Dance.

Her knowledge, passion and commitment took Ms. Gigi to teach at some of London’s most important schools: she worked as a mentor, teaching supervisor and tutor for the Royal Academy of Dance Faculty of Education, as a Ballet Tutor for the Central School of Ballet, and as a Ballet Tutor for the London Studio Centre.

Before moving to Tokyo, she obtained a TEFL certificate, which allows her to teach English as a foreign language.

Ms. Gigi is very excited to be launching her ballet school in Tokyo, where she hopes to convey her enjoyment for dance to the students and use ballet as a powerful tool to help children express their feelings, to enhance their natural creativity, and to help them cultivate a healthy body.
